In deep thought about my next career, while dusting, I lifted up an item we have had for years and had the thought, "Why can't I make something like this?" My mind starting racing with ideas of people and figures that are on the move. That fits most every family with overbooked calendars, everyone racing out the door, grabbing cell phones, backpacks, sports gear.
I can't stop sketching my individual little wooden people and figures, waiting to begin the creation process, each one soon to develop a personality, representing real people and real lives...busy lives...On The Go lives.
I come from a family of artists with 4 older sisters to draw from, each with her own special artistic talent. I have been painting, designing or creating something since I was about 5 beginning with doll clothes and floor plans, later becoming a professional landscape designer. Color has been the driving force behind my inspiration in my own home design process as well as the landscapes that I designed and now in the figures that I paint.
I have recently added personalized options to my line so that your whole family can be displayed "On The Go" doing what each does best.
