Papalote means Kite in Mexican Spanish, so my little shop is called "Kites". I chose that name because I never learned how to fly a real kite when I was a little girl. So, when I found myself with the great opportunity of making something that I love I immediately chose crafts with paper! I started my shop making handmade invitations, printing them on my home computer and cutting them with my old all-purpose scissors. After 8 months, I did not sell a single set of invitations. As a result, after a little bit of depression of course, I let my imagination flew like a kite (or two) and begun the transformation to Papalotes. I sold my first set of paper crowns two weeks after I did my new listings. Since that day, I bring joy and good memories to children around the world. I am flying my papalote right now!!

I learned that I really have a passion for paper cutting and paper designs in my 30's. So, when somebody ask me to make a custom order with a different theme I get really excited, sometimes I dream the design!! The best part of my "job" are the reviews and private messages that customers give to me and my products. I really enjoy making children and adult birthdays fun and memorable.
