Shop policies
The inspiration for my work is drawn from myths, legends and fairy tales, the numerous books I read, vintage illustrations, and ideas that just pop into my head when I least expect it.
My images are combined with stylised text to send an empowering message to the viewer.
From initial idea to finished print may take weeks, or months, possibly even years! The first design, often a hurried sketch on a scrap of paper, may undergo numerous changes within a sketch book until it becomes suitable to transform into a linocut print. The lino blocks often take several days to carve, during which time the design may continue to alter as it becomes apparent that what was initially designed doesn’t quite hit the mark, or simply won’t work in lino. Eventually, once the block is completed, a proof can be pulled, with a combination of excitement of seeing the image for the first time, and utter terror that it might have gone horribly wrong wasting endless hours of hard work!
The prints are all hand-inked and hand-burnished with a baren or a wooden spoon, so no two prints are completely identical, but it is this uniqueness that is one of the delights of this type of printmaking, and what makes each individual print so special.

Shipping
Prints will be wrapped in acid free tissue. The other packaging I use may be recycled card. This doesn't mean I don't care about your order, it means I care about the environment and reuse or recycle wherever I can!
Buyers are responsible for any customs or inport taxes that may apply. I'm not responsible for any delays due to customs.
I will do my best to get your order shipped as soon as possible after I receive it. Please allow extra time for shipping during busy periods, such as Christmas, as delays in the mail could mean it takes longer for you to receive your order.
Additional policies and FAQs
As with all original artworks, exposure to strong sunlight will fade colours over a period of time. To keep your print in good condition please choose a hanging position out of constant, direct sunlight.
Prints are supplied unframed. It is wise to have your print framed professionally, with a mount to ensure the glass does not touch the surface of the print. This will ensure the embossed nature of the print is retained.
Both prints and cards are produced and stored in a pet and smoke free studio/home.
