Treese Pflum
Owner, Maker, Designer, Photographer
I started quilting around 1977 when I was given a box of unfinished quilt pieces that belonged to my grandmother. I didn't know much about quilts, but jumped right in and put my sewing skills to work. I graduated to baby quilts for gifts and then ended up teaching quilting classes at a community college a few years later. This year I decided to pursue my passion and quit the day job! I do not miss corporate America! My days are filled with quilting, designing, photography and other creative pursuits. There are so many ideas stuffed in my head that I'm sure I will never be bored. Plus, I now have time to spend with my family that doesn't have to revolve around a vacation approval form!!! Life is good.

Betty Fernandez
Maker, Designer, Quilter & Watercolor Artist
Betty is an accountant by day, and quilter/artist the rest of time. She started quilting when her arthritis didn't allow her to play golf, tennis or bowl anymore. As it turned out, Treese was a willing quilting buddy, so they started taking classes, finding quilt shops and attending quilt shows. Over the years, Betty has been building her fabric stash--she said she was investing for her retirement--and has filled two rooms with amazing stuff. Currently she is working on contemporary versions of classic blocks in lime green and black. Stayed tuned for more!
