Quirky Parties is a one gal shop started by me, Jennie! I live in New Mexico with a fabulous husband and a house full of critters.I opened this shop as way to escape and to make myself smile.

Due to medical issues sometimes I am bed ridden from illness for days or weeks at a time. During one of my more recent and harsher flares I was unable to do anything but stress my condition. I knew I had to stop worrying and that I needed to get my mind in a more positive direction if I wanted to achieve healing.

Being a graphic designer I decided to open up my laptop and let my mind run wild. It lead to bright colors, quirky characters, and a whole new world or child like designs imagined. I thought of times of joy and my mind trailed off to special occasions spent with friends and families. One of my biggest joys in life has been my two baby brothers and doing holidays and birthdays for them. Next thing I know, I had started turning some of the characters I had envisioned into favor boxes. It brought happiness and healing to me and I felt myself forget the reality around me. I let the ideas of these little boxes absorb me and within a week I had about 20 designs and a whole new adventure created at the thought of sharing my designs on Etsy.

This shop is a way for me to escape, express who I am, and share child like joy. It helps put a smile on my face and makes me remember all the good times I've had. I hope my designs can bring a smile to you as well.
