When my husband and I returned to California after living on our boat up in Sitka, Alaska for 6 years, I wanted to continue making jewelry. I had done quite well selling my jewelry in a "made by hand" coop located just above the cruise ship passenger landing. But I soon found out that competition in the lower 48 was a lot stiffer than up in Alaska. So in 2010 I opened my first Etsy Shop called Rain and Snow Beading where I was able to sell some of my dangles and jewelry-making supplies like gemstones, crystals, findings, etc.
My shop/office takes up all of our 3rd bedroom. I have built-in shelving in the closet to store all the jewelry-making supplies I sell in my Shop.
I buy my beads from local bead shows and shows we run into while traveling with our trailer. I take all my items with us when we take trips so I can make dangles and keep my shops open. It all fits under the bed.
