Rowan Song Crafts brings you lovingly made, individual crafted pieces made in clay, fabric and a range of other natural & man-made materials. I like to re-use, recycle and up-cycle wherever possible, taking great pleasure in transforming beads, fabrics and other items that might otherwise be consigned to waste. Where I have used these in a piece this is made clear in the listing. Many pieces are inspired by nature, and the natural materials such as clay, shell, gemstone, wood and bone reflect this. Please feel free to browse the shop. You will find a mix of items, from clay oil lamps to jewellery to rune sets. If you see something you like but would like more than one or a customised version then just let me know. I'll be more than happy to help!

Payment

All prices are displayed in UK Pounds.

Payment method is by Paypal or credit/debit card via the Etsy checkout.

Payment must be completed in full before any item will be dispatched.

Unfortunately I do need to reserve the right to cancel any orders where payment is not completed within three working days. If you need a little more time but still intend to purchase then just let me know and we should be able to work something out.

Shipping

All items will be sent out packaged in a way that will protect them as much as possible during transit. For ceramic items the packaging needs to be very sturdy, so this may mean slightly higher packing costs due to the materials and extra weight involved.

We aim to dispatch all items within a maximum of 3 working days from payment being completed. On the rare occasions that we don't manage this, your shipping will be upgraded to 1st class at no extra cost. ***COVID 19 UPDATE - There is currently a 1- 2 week dispatch window on all items at the moment as we are shielding and this affects our ability to post items with the same regularity. The 2 weeks timeframe is a maximum, so your item may well be dispatched before this but we would rather say this than let people down. Please be assured that we will do all we can to make sure your item is shipped as soon as possible- please bear with us!***

Postage to the UK will usually be by Royal Mail 2nd Class Recorded Delivery for orders over £20 and Royal Mail 2nd class delivery for all orders under £20. Sometimes we may use a courier service if it is more cost effective. All orders will be posted to the address that you have provided.

Please get in touch before purchasing if you would like a faster postal service such as Royal Mail's Special Delivery. I can then add the additional postal cost to the listing to be paid for in the usual way. ***COVID 19 UPDATE - unfortunately we are not able to offer a special delivery option at the current time due to the reasons mentioned above.***

Postage to all other destinations will be by Royal Mail Airmail for items under £20. Larger, more expensive items will be sent by Royal Mail's tracked international airmail services. Please see the listings for cost. If there is no price listed for your country then please contact me and I will be happy to provide you with a quote. ***COVID 19 UPDATE - all items being shipped to non-UK destinations will be sent by tracked services until postal services have stabilised. This allows us to offer you informed customer service when post is delayed as it has been of late. Postage rates on all listings reflect the cost of these services. We will reassess shipping options for orders under £20 when the situation has resolved.***

Please be aware that it can be very difficult sometimes to estimate combined postage rates. If you are ordering several items then I will check and reimburse you if there is a significant difference between what you have paid and the actual cost of packing and shipping. You can also ask for a check on the total shipping fee prior to purchase if you prefer.

***As the buyer, you will be responsible for paying any customs or import taxes or duties applicable in your own country. If you are ordering from the EU then please be aware that your local customs authority may impose taxes and duties which were not previously charged prior to the UK leaving the EU. Please check these rates with the relevant authorities in your own country if you are unsure.***

If you have any questions about shipping or postal services and fees then please don't hesitate to contact us.

CUSTOM ORDERS
***COVID 19 UPDATE - I am not taking custom orders on a formal basis at the moment as I am unable to commit to specific timeframes. However, please feel free to get in touch if you don't need the item by a particular date as I am happy to include requests for repeats of previously sold items in my next batch of work on an informal basis. This means that I will not ask for payment in advance and you are free to withdraw at any time but also that the items may take several months to complete. I will resume normal terms and conditions for custom orders as detailed in the paragraphs below when I am in a position to resume business as usual.***

Commissions and custom work can be undertaken. Terms and conditions such as deadlines will be discussed and agreed with you before confirming your order. Ceramic pieces can take some time to get through their 2 or sometimes 3 firings, so please allow a couple of months, especially if you are asking for a complex piece or have a specific deadline. My usual turnaround is 4-6 weeks.

I never want to let my customers down, so will always be honest with you about whether your desired time-frame is achievable rather than give you an unrealistic expectation.

Prior to starting work I will create a custom listing for you that you can add to your basket and pay for in the normal way. For more expensive items, payments may be split into two listings so that you pay for the item in advance and the shipping upon completion. Payment by instalments may be possible for some projects, but this is on a discretionary basis.

Once your payment has cleared I will then start making your item. For more complex pieces I will convo you with a photo at key stages to make sure the work is on track as you envisioned it, and to allow you to have input to the creative process as it develops.

Please see information in the Refunds Policy section to be clear about your right to cancel with regard to custom pieces.
