Knitting for pets all started because of a new breed of dog we love, Italian Greyhounds (IGs). We adopted Ray, a 15-year old IG whose owner had gone into a nursing home and the family couldn't keep him. He was surrendered to a Breed Rescue, and we took him home, and into our hearts.

He spent the next two years with us, and we adored him! Our old guy loved to be warm, as IGs do. Unable to find a sweater that fit as IGs have a rather distinct shape, I sharpened up my old knitting skills and made him a sweater. Then I made him an up-cycled cashmere collar band. He wore that all the time, so super soft and warm for him.

Encouraged by the compliments and requests for dog sweaters and 'collar warmers', I specialize in custom knit sweaters for pets and humans. I love to play with color and patterns, so whatever you can dream up, I'll team up with you and make it!
