Saltys Pirate Den is a collective of artists doing our part to recycle some waste in the world
Tom recycles, repairs and customizes denim with his Resurrected Jeans.
Recycled jeans are his media, some are slap wore out, some are near new, most are from the church thrift store around the corner. Tom turns them into patched, embroidered, usable works of art.
100% hand sewn from recycled materials. He draws a matching ACEO that comes with most of the pants.
Tom is a multi media guy and brings a wide variety of experience to all of his work, heavily reflected in his Yokash County line of items.
I'm Tim, the computer guy and a vintage collectibles hunter. I make rusty yard art (hence the RustyDragon, my other etsy shoppe), play with Mad Science, love me some Steampunk Stuff, love hitting stuff with a hammer and anvil, and generally whatever else I find interesting at the time.
Lately I been sewing shopping bags, sailor slops, aloha shirts, steampunk costumes, and have been working on mustache wax, dragonbalm, garden markers and steampunk stuff for the RustyDragon, my pirate ship.
Every now and then my old pal GB will stop in with something to put up, lately we have been collaborating on some LED projects with a steampunk attitude, I'm sure some of them will end up here, eventually.
Saltys Pirate Den is proud to welcome Chris the Silversmith.
Chris just joined the Pirate Den at the beginning of 2014, its a pleasure working with him, he has the skills to make many of Saltys dream projects happen. Like the sterling silver spoon Bracelet, which I had had in mind when I found the spoon a couple years ago.
Chris is in the process now of opening his own etsy shoppe:

I've a booth at the Clearlake Flea Market where I hang out on weekends.
with all manner of items, similar to that listed in this etsy shop, and more !
Drop on by if you are in the area, mention you read it here !
Vintage items and supplies are another area we can't help but get involved in. Destashing enough stuff to hopefully get my warehouse empty.
I have 5 or 6 pear bins full of stuff steampunky for the Rustydragon parade/pyrate faire boat project, thats a lot of overkill for what the project calls for.
There are several others that don't use computers also in the collective, their names will be added if they decide they want something listed.
Between us, we cover a lot of media, so you never know what might show up.
As a group, we all reuse, recycle and Upcycle as much as we are able.
As I mentioned, I use the computer & the others don't, so here we are. Each item posted will have the artists name liberally smeared all over the listing, sometimes 2 or more work on a project.
Requests for Custom Items are always welcome.
