I've always liked to sew. Working as an apparel designer for over ten years, I was surprised at how rarely I sewed!

So I initially started an etsy shop to create and sell one of a kind garments. I called it Scribbles, because I would make anything I felt like without worrying about my bosses at work, or if it would sell well or not- I would just create!

...and then the babies were born!

My first born was the inspiration to create a wearable and fun line of easy to wear onesies. I would try dressing her in adorable dresses, but it turns out dresses are not that great for babies! We both loved the comfort of the onesie- the softer the better!

So Benzie Baby was born by taking super soft onesies and screen printing with Trompe l'oeil art- French for "trick of the eye".

The idea of my line is for little ones to wear adorable outfits, without sacrificing the comfort of the onesie.
