Honestly, the picture doesn't do this piece justice. I love that the drawing/painting is on a slip of wood. So much of the movement in this portrait is intrinsic in the grain of the wood. It is captivating!

The sewing machine works via a wind up mechanism and gives the appearance that it is a miniature version of the actual life size model. I couldn't be happier!
