How did you start your shop? How does it all work?

Well I will start from the beginning. My love of restoring furniture, painting "upcycling" furniture and household items, painting abstract wall art, making jewelry "earrings mostly", and finding beautiful vintage items with my family in the Niagara Region.
I opened up shop shortly after my first son turned 2 years old. I was into making my own chalk paint mixed that worked very well. I made and sold my very own coloured furniture wax "which no one else has been able to master". I also sold chalk paint brushes. You could say I catered to the whole modern faze of shabby chic. Which was fun because I was into it all myself. I did custom pieces from furniture, mirrors, all the way down to jewelry boxes! I loved it.
Soon after came my second daughter. I was on bed rest for the majority of the pregnancy. I went stir crazy!! I needed a new hobby. My mother sat down with me and taught me the art of making earrings. Now that was fun and very pricey. I took to it well. I probably made 100+ pairs over my time on bed rest. .925 Sterling silver is my ideal for making earrings as I am allergic to costume jewelry.
Over the next 4 years baby number 3, 4, and 5 came along. My oldest son was diagnosed with Autism, tourette's syndrome, and ADHD. My hands were tied. I had to put my shop on vacation mode. Now I am back! As of January 2018 I reopened my shop and started where I last left off. I will slowly be adding some of my own handmade earrings and art work to my shop. I will forever be selling my favorite paint brushes and art tools!

***UPDATE!!!***

Now as of 2022 I am a mother of 6 children under 12 years old. I will be updating my shop with my newest creations! I started off with painting and upcycling furniture, to now painting beautiful high quality abstract peices, and beautiful large decorative mirrors. 🥰
