Howdy! I'm Bobby Stapf, and I make stuff out of leather. REAL leather. The kind that doesn't get old — it tells a story.
My small-town roots come from a place where country roads meet family farms, where stories are shared around campfires, and a person's character is shaped by the life they've lived. It's those stories and experiences that make us all unique.
Today, from my small workshop in Los Angeles, I carry a little of that spirit into everything I make. My goal is simple: to create quality leather goods that stand the test of time, develop a little grit, plenty of character, and eventually tell a story of their own.
Silver Dollar Leather was born out of that spirit — a need to create, a love of working with my hands, and a healthy dose of inspiration from the rugged American Old West. Stories of cowboys, outlaws, lawmen, and the independent spirit of a bygone era all find their way into my work.
Every piece is made by hand, by me. No two pieces are exactly alike. I believe real leather should be lived in, not just looked at. As the years go by, it develops a personality of its own. Every scuff, every scratch, and every scar becomes part of its history. Eventually, it won't just be something you own — it'll be something that tells your story.
And when I'm not at the workbench, you'll probably find me picking my guitar and telling stories through song.
