SkateBetty started years ago when I was managing a skateboard shop and I decided to start making little trinkets as gifts for friends and staff out of the old skateboards we always had piling up. Soon my staff started contributing ideas and it is with their encouragement and the support of the local skateboard community I really started to go for it and make more accessories and projects.

Now I often have a porch full of busted boards donated by local riders. Finally it got to the point were I was getting hundreds of boards and that is when friends and family joined on to help with design and manufacturing. Each skateboard donated to us to recycle is a gift. In keeping with the good karma SkateBetty supplies and findings are all sourced from other Etsy makers and small local businesses. This helps us to support other makers and the local economy in a pretty rad way.

I am so stoked to share pieces of our local skate history with people from all over the world.
