Life has a funny way of presenting unexpected challenges and opportunities. After making the difficult decision to leave my 9 to 5 job as a chef to assist with family commitments, I found myself yearning for a creative outlet that would allow me to continue pursuing my passions. That's when I opened my 2 nd shop on etsy Etsy, With a heart full of determination and a desire to spread joy through special celebrations, I embarked on a journey to establish my other Etsy shop, Sweet Gifts and Treats. Initially, my focus was on crafting exquisite wedding and party favors that would add an extra touch of magic to every occasion. It brought me immense pleasure to be part of so many cherished moments and witness the joy these little tokens of appreciation brought to people.
However, as we all know, 2020 was a year unlike any other. The world came to a standstill, and celebrations took a backseat as we navigated through unprecedented times. It was during this period that I recognized the need for alternative ways to bring people closer, even when they were physically apart.
That's when the idea struck me - milkshake and hot chocolate, themed kits in gift boxes! These delightful little and delicious packages became my way of helping people bridge the distance and send warm wishes to their loved ones, especially during the moments when they couldn't be together physically. Whether it was a birthday, anniversary, or simply a way to say, "I miss you," these kits allowed people to express their sentiments in a tangible and comforting way. When life became a little more normal and weddings and parties where back people still loved the little kits and I moved them to an old shop I was not using Small Things by Amanda and added other kits like cupcake and cookie baking kits. Things that are great gifts and fun activities all in one.
