The interplay of the various shades of purple/magenta combined with the navy is stunning, with every element coming together harmoniously in a dress that is simultaneously elegant and whimsical. The overall design of the piece is amazing--a perfectly fitted bodice with a scooped neck and spiral rosette, a flared skirt, complemented by flared sleeves. Donning the dress immediately lifted my spirits and put a smile on my face. There is no possible way to feel cranky when wearing such a delightful and charming piece of artistry. “Venus” is a stellar dress!

Reservations & layaway:
I can reserve an item for you with a minimum downpayment of $50 and payment in full in 4 weeks. I have had to reduce payment times from 8 weeks as many customers were taking 12 & more weeks to pay, and I dislike nothing more than chasing people up for payments in order to pay my own bills, hope you understand :-)
If an item has not been paid for in full within the agreed time, and you have not been in touch, the item will be re-listed and any deposits paid will go towards re-listing fees.
About custom orders:
For custom order requests please send me your regular clothes size and I will let you know what options are available. SpiralGypsy is a small one-woman operation and I don't always have all colours in all sizes in stock. General turnaround time is about 4 weeks, though some customer's do end up waiting a couple of months for that 'something special'.
The most popular styles I make are the 'Vampire' style coat (the very first one I made was called 'True Blood' so the vampire name kinda stuck!) and the twirly 'Katwise' style coats.
The Vampire style costs between $285-$350 depending on length, amount of clasps, long/short hood etc. I happy to discuss variations on this style if you have any ideas of your own.
The longer twirly Gypsy coats cost from $475 and can get as expensive as you like depending on the amount of detail.
I'm also happy to work with materials sent to me, as long as they are suitable. Many of my recent custom coats contain memory or heritage pieces of clothing from customers that have sentimental value to them. It's a beautiful way of making your custom creation extra special. Shipping
I ship with Royal Mail from Belfast.
Due to the increased security at international airports I am sending most* of my coats and other heavier items with tracked shipping &/or signature confirmation. This has added between $5 and $10 to the price of shipping, sorry :(
* There is a 2kg weight restriction on packages that can be shipped by Royal Mail. Anything above 2kg is shipped with ParcelForce who charge US $65+ for normal shipping, and above $130 for shipping with tracking!!! (Yikes! What a rip-off!) Some of the plus size coats, and extra long coats weigh just over 2kg. I will ship these normally, without tracking, unless otherwise requested.
All smaller items are shipped with Royal Mail 1st Class International, which usually takes between 5-14 days but can take up to 30 days. Please contact me if you need expedited shipping/insurance/tracking etc and we can work out the cost.
Please check with me before ordering if you have any concerns about postage. I currently have rough estimates for postage on the recycled sweater garments. As each one is unique and varies in size & weight, I can't guarantee the postage will be accurate. If it comes to more than charged I will cover the extra myself, in the case of it costing less, I will refund any difference over $2 via PayPal.
International buyers please note: I cannot take responsibility for customs charges on items, these, if applied, are determined by your local customs authority and are not included in your shipping. Sorry !
