5 out of 5 starsGot this out of a curiousity to both try the OG "fidget spinner" form factor, and an alumimum make. 'Sokay on both of those fronts. The aluminum is polished very well, but does have noticeable (though not prominent) stress wrinkles from being formed, and is asymmetrical from top to bottom (when sitting on a flat surface). However, it also allows this spinner to be lighter than it would be if a denser metal, but more durable and substantive than plastic. The actual spin is flawless, and will become whisper quiet as you "break in" the bearings. Due to the shape, and how shiny the aluminum is, spinning it at a high speed will produce something of an optical illusion (kind of cool). Aluminum, or grease on the bearings, or something, makes it a little stinky compared to steel (no smell), but less so than brass.
