Suzy Is An Artist began after the birth of my first daughter. I had previously worked as an Elementary Education teacher at a private school. While I loved teaching, I found that I had the most fun when I was able to craft with my students! After the closing of my school, my husband and I decided to start a family. Now two daughters later, I have two full time jobs, raising a family and Suzy Is An Artist!

For years I have enjoyed creating decorations for friends's events. These included banners, paper garlands, cupcake toppers and many other things. Eventually, I felt that it was time to offer my products to a broader audience. Suzy Is An Artist started slowly but has gradually built into a business that keeps me very busy and more importantly, stimulates my creativity.

The best part about Suzy Is An Artist is that I have the ability to raise my family while also working. My shop has great flexibility and allows me to work during naps or after the kids have gone to bed. My customers are constantly challenging me to come up with new designs and concepts. Nothing makes me happier than creating something that will be a part of a major event in a customer's life.
