I am a painter. I paint to capture that moment when you see something that makes you ask: What was that beauty, that blurry moment just passed, outside the car window, or along the footpath?. Was it flowers, maybe a stream? Doesn’t matter. All that matters is the instance when something speaks to you visually, takes all your attention, and gives you respite to stop, breathe and get lost for just a moment.

I draw my inspiration from the ever changing surprises of our natural world. I embrace soft edges, textural possibilities and a vibrant, interwoven color palette in my painting style. The goal is to paint outside the lines!

I relive my memories as I create my work, and am inspired by them. Painting a flower from last year’s garden feels like watching it bloom all over again! The joy of rediscovery as I paint lets me dream of the new experiences, and inspiration that will soon cross my path.
