We offer custom and personalised orders and can specially dye your ribbon to a colour of your choosing.

Our seamless ribbon is available in 3 different widths:

0.5 inch
1.5 inch
2.5 inch

0.5 inch and 1.5 inch are most suitable for packaging, invitation suites, gift wrap, buttonholes/boutonnieres, flat lays and styling.

1.5 inch to 2.5 inch are best for bouquet wrapping, trailing streamers and more extravagant wrapping.

Our ribbon is hand torn and frayed and sometimes there can be slight widths variations of 1-2mm.

Our silk ribbons have been created to be kept, reused and repurposed. They can be gently hand washed using PH neutral soap in cold water and hung to dry. Please do not use harsh soap as natural dye is sensitive to PH changes and harsh chemicals and this can cause colour changes. If you are wrapping a bouquet and use flower food, please make sure you first wrap the stem with another fabric or parafilm and/or dry the stems before attaching the ribbon.

Please store your ribbons in a cool, dark spot to avoid fading.

The ribbons can be run through a hair straightener or low iron to remove any creases. If you prefer a slightly crinkled look, hang the ribbon and then lightly spritz with water and let air dry.

Velvet ribbon does not come on spool or muslin bag and is wrapped with handmade paper.

What is the difference?

The habotai silk is a light silk with a hand frayed edge.

Silk velvet is a plush silk/rayon blend. It has a hand frayed edge and does shed a little.

Please choose carefully as we do not offer refunds, store credits or exchanges including incorrect colour selections.

Due to the fast turnaround of orders, we cannot change your order or make changes once it has been placed.

It is the buyers responsibility to collect your order from the postal office. We do not refund for orders that have not been collected and are returned to sender.

Natural dyes produce unique and unusual tones. These tones tend to be more subtle but very beautiful. Dark shades on sheer silk - such as our black and navy - will always appear to be lighter when compared to chemical dyes on solid fabrics such a satin.

The most cost effective way to purchase samples is via the Sample Pack or Designer Selection or Bouquet Selection or Calligrapher Selection. All 4 packs offer a cost effective way to try a sample of all our widths and textures in your choice of colours.

Please remember we hand-dye and each batch does have slight colour variation.

Habotai silk has a shimmering, iridescent appearance due to the triangular prism-like structure of the silk fibre, which allows the silk to refract incoming light at different angles, thus producing different colours. For this reason, we try to accurately photograph our ribbons in natural light but please understand colours may appear to be slightly different in real life when compared to photos or change depending on the lighting and surrounds. Although we follow the same recipe for each colour, there are slight colour variances in each batch due to the hand dyed process and natural plant materials we use. Habotai silk is sheer and the ribbon colour can look darker once it has been hand rolled onto the spool.

Due to our busy packing schedule, once an order is placed we cannot make any changes to it. Thank you for understanding. All orders, regardless of worldwide location, ship within 1 -2 business days.
