We have a family-owned cabinet shop in rural Kentucky - you will find many items in my shop are made from reclaimed cabinet doors & drawer fronts that I've come across. Other items, such as my cast iron pieces, are reproduction cast iron that I refinish. If you have any questions about any of my items just send me a message!

CURRENT PRODUCTION/TURNAROUND TIME:
Due to very high order volumes, please expect these *approximate* turnaround times on all other items (not noted "ready to ship" in the listing title):
-Cabinet knobs & handles - 1 1/2 - 2 1/2 weeks
-Cast iron racks & hooks - 2 1/2 -3 weeks
-Chalkboards & Coat Racks - 4 weeks
-Custom orders - determined on an individual basis

Q: Can you make custom sizes?
A: Yes, I can accomodate most requests between 9x10 in. and 22x40 in., within 2-3 inches. The frame style, however, does vary.

Q: Chalkboard Paint, slate or vinyl?
A: Chalkboard Paint or vinyl, depending on which is best suited for the job. Have a preference? Just let me know!

Q: How durable is the chalkboard surface?
A: When cared for properly (use crayola chalk, erase with a soft cloth), the surface is extremely durable. I've been using the same chalkboards in our shops & home for several years. With almost 1000 chalkboards from TheDoorStop across the world, (knock on wood!) not a single complaint regarding durability.

Q: Can chalk markers be used on the chalkboard surface?
A: Chalkboard paint - no. Only Crayola chalk. Chalkboard vinyl - yes.

Q: Are the chalkboards magnetic?
A: No - although I'm glad to make your custom magnetic chalkboard!
