Thank you so much for visiting my little slice of Etsy, which is also my fulltime job! Here is a little "about me" and I love connecting with people so feel free to message me about anything, work related or not!

Having spent 8 years of my life in the corporate world with an office job, I finished a business degree and took my final office job in 2008. Dreaming of being my own boss and creating my own business, I became fascinated with beautiful feathers early in 2009. Not knowing whether other people would like them as much as I did, I photographed 4 different feather headband designs and opened this shop here on Etsy. Five years later, those 4 designs turned into well over 600 different and unique feather designs, each handmade and photographed by me!

In October 2013 my husband and I welcomed our first little baby boy to the family, Sawyer. He is so precious and has changed the dynamic of our household to the core. I work on orders now while he naps and plays quietly. Since I'm a 1 woman show and also want to be a good mommy I ask for about 2-3 weeks on turnaround for made to order items. I do of course like to accommodate rush schedules whenever possible so just email me if you have an upcoming deadline.

My highest priority in the shop is to give the very best of myself to my clients. I select the best quality feathers to use in my designs. I have discovered the best and strongest ways of constructing feather pieces, storing them, and shipping them. I give every customer a completely individualized experience, working with them from start to finish to create a beautiful piece. All the while working with bright colorful mediums inspires me and I have a blast letting my imagination run!

Product lines include wedding hair accessories, groom/groomsmen boutonnieres, corsages, hairclips, feather headbands, cocktail rings, necklaces, earrings, and shoe clips. I feel so blessed to be able to sell here on Etsy, to be able to support my family with the income from the shop, and to be able to work with my hands. Thank you for supporting The Headband Shoppe!
