I have been knitting for around 30 years, having been taught by my lovely Grandma as a child. I returned to knitting when I had my babies and have been able to realise my dream of creating my own children's accessories as they have grown.

Frequently asked questions

Sizing details

The measurements I have listed for my hats are the unstretched measurements. To get a comfy fit you need to choose a hat that measures about an inch smaller than your babies head in the smaller (newborn) sizes and one and a half or even two inches smaller for the larger toddler/child sizes. Knitting is stretchy so if you chose a hat the actual size of your babies head it may be too loose and could fall down.

To measure ideally use a tape measure but if you don’t have a tape measure a piece of string or wool would work to gently hold around their head. Measure around the head across the widest part just at the top of their ears. If you are unsure which hat to choose contact me with your measurements and I can help.

Care instructions

The majority of the yarns I use are machine washable (except the angora and more delicate ones) but as my hats are handmade items I would always recommend a gently hand wash and drying flat to keep them in great condition.

Custom and personalised orders

I love working on custom orders so please get in touch with your ideas and requirements and we can work together to come up with something together.

Photo props and baby safety

Many of my hat and bonnets are made to be used as photo props only.

They are often made of delicate yarns and include things that could be a choking hazard such as buttons, pompoms and long ties.

Please do not purchase these items other than for use as photo props or give them as gifts, and do not leave babies wearing them unattended.

Gift wrapping and packaging

I wrap my items in tissue paper and post in mailing bags. A business card is included in the parcel but no receipt. If you would like a gift note added please include details in the checkout pages.
