What Does This Moment is Good do with your information?

When you purchase something from This Moment is Good, as part of the buying and selling process, my shop collects the personal information you give such as your name, address, and email address. When you browse the store, analytics also automatically receives your computer's internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide me with information that helps me learn about my site visitation and traffic. Email marketing (when applicable): Is only done with your permission and if you sign up for my mailing list. If consent is given, I may send you emails about the store, blog features, promotions and other updates.

Consent

How do you get my consent?

When you provide me with personal information to complete a transaction, place an order, arrange for a delivery or return a purchase, you imply that you consent to my collecting it and using for that specific reason only. If I ask for your personal information for a secondary reason, like marketing, and you give consent, then this implies that I may send you emails as stated above. Your information will be used for reasons stated at the time of consent; for contests, promotion, email updates, etc. This Moment is Good may opt to share or sell their email list at any time in the future. This would never include personal or financial information other than what is given at the time of email marketing consent.

How do I withdraw my consent?

If after you opt-in, (by signing up for my mailing list, for example), you may withdraw your consent for me to contact you, for the continued collection, use or disclosure of your information, at any time, by contacting me at thismomentisgood@comcast.net or using the contact form on this website.

Information I Collect

To fulfil your order, you must provide me with certain information (which you authorized Etsy to provide to me), such as your name, email address, postal address, payment information, and the details of the product that you’re ordering. You may also choose to provide me with additional personal information (for a custom order of jewelry, for example), if you contact me directly.

Cookies: Third party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to a website. Users may opt out of the use of the DoubleClick Cookie for interest-based advertising by visiting http://www.google.com/settings. Alternatively, you can opt out of some third-party vendor's use of cookies for interest-based advertising by visiting http://www.aboutads.info/.

DATA RETENTION

I retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to provide you with my services and as described in my Privacy Policy. However, I may also be required to retain this information to comply with my legal and regulatory obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce my agreements. I generally keep your data for the following time period: until you opt-out. Since I store email subscriber information for this blog/website, I will assume that you would like to be on our subscriber list until you opt-out.

Your Rights

If you reside in certain territories, including the EU, you have a number of rights in relation to your personal information. While some of these rights apply generally, certain rights apply only in certain limited cases. I describe these rights below:

Access. You may have the right to access and receive a copy of the personal information I hold about you by contacting me using the contact information above.

Object. You can object to (i) my processing of some of your information based on my legitimate interests and (ii) receiving marketing messages from me after providing your express consent to receive them. In such cases, I will delete your personal information unless I have compelling and legitimate grounds to continue using that information or if it is needed for legal reasons.

Complain. If you reside in the EU and wish to raise a concern about my use of your information (and without prejudice to any other rights you may have), you have the right to do so with your local data protection authority.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

Information about my customers is important to my business. I share your personal information for very limited reasons and in limited circumstances, as follows:

Paypal, credit card companies and I share information as necessary to provide you my services.
Service providers. I engage certain trusted third parties to perform functions and provide services to my shop, such as delivery companies. I will share your personal information with these third parties, but only to the extent necessary to perform these services.
At no time does This Moment is Good have access to your log-in information or payment information. Please consult with your payment processor, such as PayPal/credit card processor for their privacy policy.
Business If I sell or merge my business, I may disclose your information as part of that transaction, only to the extent permitted by law.transfers.
Compliance with laws. I may collect, use, retain, and share your information if I have a good faith belief that it is reasonably necessary to: (a) respond to legal process or to government requests; (b) enforce my agreements, terms and policies; (c) prevent, investigate, and address fraud and other illegal activity, security, or technical issues; or (d) protect the rights, property, and safety of my customers, or others.
Why I Need Your Information and How I Use It

I rely on a number of legal bases to collect, use, and share your information, including:

as needed to provide my services, such as when I use your information to fulfil your order, to settle disputes, or to provide customer support;
when you have provided your affirmative consent, which you may revoke at any time, such as by signing up for my mailing list;
if necessary to comply with a legal obligation or court order or in connection with a legal claim, such as retaining information about your purchases if required by tax law; and
