Designing an entire room setting is one of my favorite ways to be creative.
Creating a scene to show one of my creations in use is always fun.
Dollhouse 1:12 scale 1970's style banana seat bike with daisy basket that I created in 2018.
Tiny signs of summer. The miniature charcoal BBQ grill is the first item I created and sold in my Etsy shop.
Sometimes I like finding a vintage miniature and completely remaking it into something new, like this trundle bed set.

Creating 1:12 scale miniatures of whatever strikes my fancy.

Thumbwick Miniatures was born in 2016. I have loved miniatures since I was a child, when my grandpa built a dollhouse for me. As a teenager I collected miniatures and subscribed to Miniature Collector magazine. From one of those magazines, I clipped out an advertisement for the House of Miniatures club, mailed it in with my $1.00 and received the Chippendale dresser kit. This was my first endeavor in building miniatures, and I loved it. Alas, I was a poor kid, so I did not continue with the club to receive a new kit every month for $8.95. As an adult (yes, I think I'm finally an adult) I became interested in hand-making miniatures from scratch. Each one I make gives me a tiny thrill - so I show my husband, and he dutifully admires it. Now I get to share those creations with others on my Etsy site. I have a full-time job that pays the bills, but I'm really hoping to turn making miniatures into my retirement endeavor soon. Refunds

I require contact within 14 days of receipt if you wish to return an item. Please view photos and read descriptions so you know what you are getting when you order. I do want you to be happy with your purchase. If your order is damaged or wrong in any way, please contact me via email, and I will make it right. In some cases I will simply ship you a new item. In some cases I will provide a shipping label for return.

Order preparation time

I don't list an item unless it is ready to ship. I always attempt to ship items the next business day after an order is placed. Please allow me three days at the most, as there are times when "life happens", and I am unable to ship your order the next day.

Shipping options

A few of my items are able to be shipped in a regular first-class envelope. If it can be shipped this way, I will offer it. Most items ship via USPS Ground Advantage, which is usually the least expensive option, and has tracking and insurance. This can take from 2 - 7 business days to arrive. However, there is an option to pay additional for 2 - 3 day Priority Mail shipping, if you choose.

Custom and personalized orders

I do accept custom requests on some of my items. In the case of a custom order, I will let you know the estimated time it will take me to fill your order, and if there will be any additional charges.

Regarding the pricing of my artisan-crafted items

Some of my creations are priced higher based on the time it took me to build or customize them. As an artist, I do not try to compete with the price of mass-produced items. My artisan-crafted items are priced for their uniqueness - waiting for that perfect owner. In all honesty - some of the pieces I create, I can barely stand to part with, so I set a price that makes me feel better about letting them go. I want them to go to someone who might appreciate them as much as I do.
