I can remember sewing anything from barbie clothes and accessories to pillow cases and quilts when I was little. I got my start in sewing as a Minnesota 4-Her and have been sewing ever since.

My interest in sewing was renewed when I recieved my very own sewing machine for Christmas a few years after getting married. The machine was intended for simple repairs and custom home decor projects I dreamed up.

With this, I wanted to create a boyish tote-bag for my first son that he could carry his books and toys to church and on long car rides to his grandparents' houses. At the same time, I made one for my niece. And of course I had to make my second son one of his own to drag around with his big brother.

It wasn't up until last Christmas my tote-bag making obsession grew. After working like crazy to finish seven tote bags for the rest of my seven nieces and one nephew just in time for Christmas, I decided that maybe I should continue making totes for others.

That's when Tote-ally Inspired was born. I am totally inspired and want to share my love for sewing and interior decorating with others.
