I am delighted to have you stop by Tupper's Perch. Many of you are new "faces" and others are old shop friends. It is my hope that those who have never shopped with me before will take a minute to read my "about" page and get to know me a bit better. Please don't ever hesitate to reach out to me just to say hello or to give ideas for future projects!

Tupper's Perch is home to an eclectic mix of creativity combining a love of nature with an inability to keep my hands still. If you love owls, acorns and woodland creatures, you will enjoy exploring my pages of original pottery and needlecraft designs. Should there ever be a craft project I can help you with, please don't hesitate to ask.
SHIPPING RATES: I GLADLY REFUND excessive unused shipping and packaging charges. No need to do anything....I will take care of it when I print your shipping label. You may, of course, contact me before your purchase if you would like a closer approximation of shipping costs for a specific item and destination.
Tupper's Perch is *not* a pet free home. I am, however, sympathetic with those of you with allergies. I will do my best to ensure your product is clean and fresh for shipping but can't guarantee a stray cat hair won't find it's way into your package.
Tupper's Perch *is* a smoke free environment.
Whenever possible, Tupper's Perch will reuse shipping materials to reduce the impact of waste in the environment. Your package will be treated with care however it may not have that sleek, just out of the factory look. A little tape or an old label will not impact the contents. If you WISH to have new packaging--because it's a gift, perhaps--please let me know at the time of checkout.

Tupper's Perch
"A safe place to come home."
Tupper, in 1994, was the first little wild bird we rehabilitated. After her successful release she often returned to our backyard to serenade us from a favored branch. We named it "Tupper's Perch".
Today, certified as a National Wildlife Backyard Habitat and covered by both State and Federal permits, our home has become a refuge for countless animals in need of care. Summers are filled nursing orphaned wildlife babies and we are a loving haven for many special needs and hard to place animals. >^..^<

My hands have always been creating things. The earliest creative moment I can remember~I think I was 5~is sitting at my mother's beastly heavy, old sewing machine stitching fabric scraps by turning the flywheel with my hand. I was knitting by 6.

DETAILS ON RETURNS: I want you to be pleased with your purchase from Tupper's Perch and share your positive experience with friends and family.
Refunds are happily given for the purchase price after the item is safely wrapped and returned in resalable, unused condition in its original packaging within 2 full weeks of purchase (USA) or 4 full weeks (International). Returned items should be issued a tracking number and insured as I will not refund for returned packages which do not arrive or if the contents are damaged in transit. In that case a claim can be made with your shipping agent. I do not refund the cost of shipping or insurance to or from Tupper's Perch within the United States unless an item was sent in error or in the event of an insurance claim.
SHIPPING ADDRESS: Please be sure your PayPal and/or Etsy address is updated, complete and correct as that is the one I ship to. Include apt or unit #'s. If you use PayPal, the address on file should match your Etsy
address. Please look for a message from me soon after placing your order asking you to confirm your address. If your address is wrong or incomplete and the PO deems it undeliverable, the customer will be responsible for all shipping costs, including forwarding or the cost to reship.
SHIPPING A GIFT TO ANOTHER ADDRESS: If you would like your purchase to go to a different address, enter it in the "send gift to" area in your PayPal or Etsy account prior to completing your purchase. Doing so protects us both in the in the event of a missing package.
SHIPPING DETAILS: Unless otherwise specified, I will choose the most sensible USPS method of shipping for your purchase and have tried to figure as best as I can the price for mailing your package.
Shipping and packaging overages of more than $1.50 are gladly refunded. I ship on weekdays within five business days of your purchase unless you need your item ASAP in which case, leave your request in the comments box. Please only make this request if you truly need your item right away as it requires a special trip to the post office.
UNDELIVERED/DAMAGED PACKAGES need to be investigated by the USPS for insurance approval. I encourage you to be patient as I work with you
to locate your undelivered shipment or investigate a damaged package. Until the USPS closes the case I file with them, please respect the fact I will be unable to refund any of your costs. While I understand this may be an inconvenience and strive for great customer service, I will need proof from them the package was not misdelivered, mistreated, or misplaced on a back shelf of your local Post Office. Please know I'll work as quickly as I can to resolve the issue. In the event of damaged packages or broken items, document with photos for insurance purposes and save all packaging. Customers will be required to sign an affidavit for insurance claims to clear. USPS considers packages lost after 21 days/USA or 45 days/International.
MAIL THEFT: The USPS holds mail recipients responsible for providing a secure receptacle for packages. If you don't have one or feel uncomfortable having a package left unattended, you can file a form with your local USPS to have all
packages held so you can pick them up at your local PO. Alternatively, you may request signature confirmation for an additional fee or have your packages shipped to a more secure address. Packages marked as delivered but not received will be considered stolen after confirmation with your mail carrier that the GPS coordinates for the delivered package are correct. I will assist you in submitting a mail theft report with the USPS Postal Inspector and ask you to report the theft to your local police department. Copies of these reports will help with any claims you choose to file with your home owners insurance or credit card company.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING and DUTIES/TAXES: When a package is shipped internationally, it may be subject to import taxes, customs duties, and/or fees imposed by the destination country. Generally, these fees are hard to
predict and are paid by the buyer. International customers are responsible for duties, taxes, and other fees incurred on international packages. It is up to the buyer to understand and accept the importation laws of the country to which I am shipping. Please be aware of these taxes before ordering so there are no unexpected surprises upon receiving your package. Refused packages will not be refunded for shipping charges. Also, please be advised I will not falsify customs documents by marking a package as a "gift" on customs forms.
