I have always been in love with vintage jewelry. It was bred into me from a young age by my "Nanny" & "Lenie" - my crazy Grandma & her twin sister. They always wore huge rings, brooches, necklaces. Whether they were dressed in their best or their housecoats, they were always sporting a wide array of bling. When they passed, I inherited a suitcase full of costume jewelry, which I have treasured & squirreled away for the last 20 years.

My mother, too, has loved collecting vintage costume jewelry. In fact, she is the one behind our jump to creating jewelry. She loves to shop at thrift stores, estate sales, & Ebay to find the best deals, most original, funnest vintage treasures. When she decided she had to downsize, I got first dibs on her stash. While we were all huddled around the coffee table one night ogling some vintage clip-ons, she said "This sure is a crazy earring, but wouldn't it be a fun ring!"

When Lilly & I decided to create jewelry, the biggest expense was supplies. Being on a limited budget, it didn't make sense to purchase onsie-twosie from the big box stores here in town - besides, the selection never quite lived up to my desires. When I found we could order in wholesale quantities and save a ton, I was all over it! Well, now we have more supplies than we can ever use...and there's no sign of stopping!
