5 out of 5 starsWe had so much fun making beer! A few notes that we learned after the fact: the notes don't explain why it's important to chill the wort quickly (because you don't want bacteria in there!) so we let the beer cool slowly because we didn't have a lot of ice and I think it may have soured a little. Also, there's no guidance on what to do if you lose the vacuum in your siphon. Research this and save your sanitizer water for the most sanitary way to get the siphon restarted. Other than that, great instructions, great product! Will def order more kits from them in the future!

Frequently asked questions
I AM JUST STARTING OUT, DO I NEED TO BUY A COMPLETE STARTER?
If you are a first time brewer it is necessary to have at a minimum the “brewing specific” equipment found in our basic beer brewing starter kit. Although keep in mind we have more deluxe oriented kits available which will make the brewing process that much more enjoyable!
A few pieces of common kitchen equipment will also need to be provided. Such as a 12 quart stock pot with lid, a funnel, a stirring spoon, and measuring utensils. We recommend that in time you purchase brewing only versions of your kitchen equipment to ensure a clean batch of beer.
Bottles are needed to store the finished beer, available in the shop. And NO, please do not use the 1 gallon jug as a means to store the beer. There will be too much PRESSURE for the jug to t
DO YOU INCLUDE INSTRUCTIONS WITH YOUR BEER EQUIPMENT KITS?
We provide a download link to our our step by step Beginner's Guide with each of our Beer Starter Kits. We have even included detailed photos to help make it all the easier.
IS ALL THE EQUIPMENT IN THE KITS REUSABLE?
YES, even the brew bag! Although we do recommend replacing the bag after approximately 5 times of use.
WHAT MAKES YOUR KITS DIFFERENT FROM OTHERS?
We utilize the Brew in the Bag technique which eliminates many tedious steps you would otherwise take on in the 3 vessel brewing process. Below are just a few aspects which we feel makes us different and better than others:
- Satisfaction of starting with freshly milled grain verses powder or malt syrup
- Ease of using, cleaning (and purchasing) a single pot verses traditional three pot system
- Simplicity of measuring and adding water ONCE instead of 2-3 times
- Removing grain is as easy as pulling out a bag
- The best equipment quality selection
I ALREADY HAVE A 1 GALLON KIT, CAN I USE YOUR GRAIN RECIPE KITS WITH IT?
YES! Although you will need to purchase a brew bag your first time ordering with us as our grain recipe kits are specifically formulated and milled to work with the Brew in a Bag process.
THIS IS A GIFT, DOES THE PACKAGE INDICATE ANYTHING BEER RELATED?
We want it to be as big of a surprise as you do so we intentionally leave off any markings on both the box and the shipping label. We also do not include any invoice or receipt within the package. Your secret is safe with us!
