Hello, My name is Katarzyna. I graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw in Poland. I live in Warsaw, where I work full-time as a conservator of works of art - paintings and polychrome sculpture in the museum. I’m a mother of two children, a fourteen-year-old boy and a eleven-year-old girl. When my children were small, I started to paint watercolors. I was painting at night when everyone was already asleep. I really liked the silence very much. The recurring motif in my paintings is a small, lonely paper boat on the ocean. The first image from this series is Starry Ocean. My customers liked it very much, so I painted another paper boat and another and another. My clients often write to me that my paintings evoke memories of their childhood, holidays with family or friends, trips with beloved. Sometimes these are sad stories. Reading them not once had tears in my eyes. Very often, my paintings are bought as gifts to commemorate the moments spent together on a starry night…
I have never sailed, but maybe it's time to start ...
