Violette Tide Studios - Original paintings, prints and cards from Kennebunk, Maine

I found myself always going back to art and so I decided to stay.

I started this shop just to see what will happen. I trained as an attorney for the last four years and had a very recent ephiphany that this competitive career path was no longer fulfilling. Instead, I found myself daydreaming of the days spent in afternoon art class as a kid. I remembered the joy and freedom that painting provided.

I work primarily in watercolor, a medium that I love because it requires a delicate balance of control and spontaneity, often producing unexpected colors and forms that are both precise and imperfect.

So with a small investment and a lot of heart, I present to you Violette Tide Studios. I use high quality artist grade watercolor paper and M. Graham watercolor paints.
