I never received my journal. After contacting the seller twice looking for a tracking number, I finally heard back that it probably had gotten lost in the mail and that she had this problem before. She did offer me a refund, to which I said, it's not your fault it got lost in the mail, no refund necessary. After my last message I never heard back from her. I just thought a "thanks for understanding" reply would have been nice and good customer service, since I was trying to be a good and understanding customer.

It isn't a brand, it's a state of mind

I started Wayward Wonders whilst looking for an upcycled journal of my own. I thought it was a brilliant idea using old discarded book covers for journals because in a way you preserved the classic aesthetic of our previous generations, whilst encouraging the growth of a new era as well. As I looked through the sea of books, journals and so on I thought to my-self "I could do that...I could make that..."
And I did...
On one particularly cold Saturday morning, I went to my local boot sale in search of some hardback books I could experiment with. From there things took off. My mom was especially supportive. She's like a creative craft guru ! With her help every time I upcycled a book I got a bit better at doing it. I would cut the recycled paper to size (by hand), repair visible damage and incorporate original illustrations, just to make my journals the best they could be.
Now whenever I can go I go scavenging around local bookshops, charity shops, boot sales etc. looking for amazing books to add to my growing empire !

Welcome to WaywardWonders ! Taking old, down and out books and giving them a second chance ! These books are sourced from local charity shops and boot fairs, and reupholstered with brand new (recycled) blank pages, so new epics can be written (maybe by you?) . If you're like me and hate mass reproduced commodities, then you've come to the right place. 100% One of a Kind, never make the same book twice, is my personal promise to you. Like you, I'm a very fussy buyer. Only the best, nothing less. And nothing is wasted ! The paper harvested from them is recycled into new blank paper ! Waste not, want not. Please feel free to ask any questions, I'm open to the idea of a request or commission. Challenge me if you dare ! Just a university student, trying to make her small mark in the world
