I do keep in touch with my local scene at a few special festivals, in the artistic region of South East Queensland that I/ we are blessed enough to live in.
The practice of Bundle Dyeing transforms upcycled clothing and I am always on the look out for any silk or wool that I can find, sometimes I do use bought Yardage but this mainly comes from a reputable supplier in Brisbane. The clothing / scarves made from purchased material often have a little hand stitching and are of a simple design so Nature can colour and transform the clothing.
Woolen Blankets are also a favorite medium that soaks up the colour from Eucalyptus leaves that are my palate, then each piece is fashioned into usable art or home wares.
No two pieces are alike or can be reproduce, the practice is Earth Friendly and Sustainable, I use bio regional mostly home grown leaves.
