There is no such thing as too many brushes or too many tubes of paint. 😄👍
My view includes a pond with the mountains in the background.
2 work areas for oil or watercolor. North facing windows give me great light.
Color charts help me switch up my color palette depending on the project.
I never leave home without a camera!

I love working in both watercolor and oil.

I have asked myself, "why do I paint?". It is my love of beauty and the urge to capture those gorgeous moments in nature that you don't want to forget. Then there is color - I love working with color. Such harmony and excitement is available simply with the careful use of hue. Even the most indescript palette grays have lush richness against the right color. Abstracts let me play with color combinations in an utterly free way. And painting nature is rewarding in countless ways.

My favorite medium is watercolor because of its nuance and unpredictability. My second favorite is oil.

For reproductions, I have a fantastic Epson printer to do my own archival printing. This means great quality for my buyers because I do color and quality checks to my standards (which are very high). I use acid-free fine art paper or canvas and print with 9 archival inks. It's top quality giclee printing.

I have had a colorful career with lots of great credentials in art, design, and creative direction, many awards won, excellent positions in the art and design fields, and so on. I have lived and worked in Southern California, North Carolina, and New York. But now, I have landed in beautiful NC and plan to stay here with my husband and animal companions (wilderness friends included). You can see more about me at www.kathiekemp.com.
