YacketUSA began life as a brick & mortar store.
The reason I opened the shop was because there wasn't a craft/sewing store within forty miles of my home. I knew I wasn't the only person who would benefit from having a local craft store. Right from the start, the shop was a huge success.
After being in business for six months, I decided to try selling on Etsy and immediately realized it was a great decision!
Almost all of my shop inventory is now listed and I try to add at least several new items daily.
The shop name and logo, "Yacket USA/ Eternal Threads" is a blend of classic and modern: the classic Lady Liberty wearing a golden crown and a modern striped bandana in magenta, white, and cyan with a single silver star – Hippie-style.
The perfect symbol for my shop, where you can find modern, classic, and everything in between!
I love shopping and love searching out great new finds to pass on to my discerning customers.
I have three Etsy shops:
Supplies YacketUSA.Etsy.com
VintageYacketUSA.Etsy.com
HandmadeYacketUSA.Etsy.com
My Supply shop inventory consists of mostly supplies for needlework and sewing. 100% cotton fabric in great colors and designs. I realized early on that it would be impossible for me to carry EVERY new fabric that came along so, I decided to focus on mainly children's fabrics, coordinating solids, and primary and pastel colored prints.
My four best-selling items seem to be 1) Cotton Fabric, 2) Sewing Patterns, 3) Catania Yarn, and 4) DMC Embroidery floss.
In my Vintage shop, I have a large selection of vintage fabrics - cotton, polyester, and blends, vintage patterns - sewing, cross stitch, and craft, and a growing assortment of vintage collectables - ash trays, glassware, figurines.
Vintage collectables seem to be the best sellers in this shop.
My handmade shop is the place I collect and display items that I have made, like baby quilts, crocheted hats, scarves, and blankets, soft toys, and dolls and doll clothes. The materials that I use in my handmade items are available for sale in my Supply shop.
Everyone loves my little crocheted poodle dogs made using the Catania cotton yarn manufactured by SMC.
My shop curator, Sweet Pea, is a talking European Starling. I rescued him just over four years ago after he fell out of his nest, which was out of my reach and in "cat territory" so I had no choice but to adopt him and be his new mommy.
He is great company when I am alone in the shop and he always makes me smile.
You can see and hear him "in person" here:

He has a wonderful personality and I am so thankful that he found me.
I am so grateful that I have this opportunity to work with so many crafty folks on Etsy, to share in the wonderful world of on-line selling, and to meet so many nice people – sellers and buyers alike.
If there is anything special you are looking for, don't hesitate to send me a message - If I don't have it, I will do my best to find it for you!
Thank you, again, for visiting my shop.
The door is always open, please come back soon and often!
