Announcement    Welcome to acme baggage. Everything in my shop is made by me in my little studio in the Outer Mission neighborhood in San Francisco.

Inspired by the promotional airline bags of a bygone era. All Acme Air Flight Bags are entirely made of newer and vintage leathers (like, from the 80's) that was amassed over several years by someone who might be a bit of a packrat and sewn by me (the aforementioned packrat) in a tiny studio in Oakland, California. That studio has now moved to San Francisco's Mission District. Most bags are 1-4 of a kind. Each bag is individually numbered on the inside.

Again, all Flight Bags are made entirely of leather. Sometimes I choose leathers that might look like imitation from afar but they aren't. I never use vinyl. Blech! Terrible for the environment, dependent on the oil industry and unhealthy for living beings. Leather is a re-purposed by-product, essentially it is trash from another industry and some are tanned with natural oak bark and leaves.

I use only the highest quality materials like nylon webbing instead of inexpensive polypropylene webbing and thick nylon or polyester thread so your bag can be passed on to your grandchildren. Wouldn't that be nice?
