In my studio I use many tools such as hammers, pliers, files, saws, torches, punches, drills and my wonderful hands to fabricate my designs. My traditional fabrication techniques are forging, fold-forming, sawing, soldering and finally polishing to transform Sterling Silver, Copper and Brass into finished pieces of wearable art jewelry. I also make Pearl necklaces that are all individually hand-knotted on silk thread.

It starts with an idea that I sketch in my design book. After contemplating how it can be done, I transfer the design onto my choice of metal and choose the stones. Depending on the design, I work it until it is a pleasing shape and design. Sometimes I add gemstones, sea glass, Pearls or found objects to add interest. My jewelry is handcrafted one piece at a time which results in unique designs that are not exactly alike. This keeps it all interesting and one-of-a-kind.

Having a piece of handmade jewelry is special and I love it when someone purchases my work. I always hope that the piece will bring lots of pleasure to the purchaser...as much as it has given me in making it.
