So no one reading this doubts that it's an expensive option, but I have long-term habit of buying things I plan will last longer than me. When I first read the description, that this is a tripod floor lamp "done right," it sounded a bit like a Florence Knoll complex, and that's a spot in history no one can touch. But as I looked at options, the shape of the legs the solidity of the hardware, I decided that I'd likely regret any other purchase, so I went for it. The cream shade and red cord are perfect at keeping the lamp lighthearted when the shape of the walnut legs might be too elegant. Once in place and on, I have no doubts. It even plays well with the Miconos on the ceiling of the same room. Sometimes gritting your teeth over a price totally pays off. I have nothing to regret. :)

What an amazing piece of craftsmanship. Arrived on time and very prompt customer service. The original shade was slightly warped and after contacting Andy he quickly had a replacement sent which was perfect. We love our lamp!

Well chosen lumber with striking grain pattern; quality construction. Love the bulb included and also the nice stylish red cord. Definitely rounds up my bedside table really well, although the brightness is less than optimal for bed side reading.
