Greetings, friend! Welcome to AniMagicka.

Our adventure into working with fur started a long time ago with a few costumes used in a live production. Then in the mid 2010s, we returned to faux furring after noticing that visitors to Renaissance Faires were wearing actual fox and coyote tails as parts of their costumes! Wanting to provide an animal friendly, ecologically responsible alternative, we created AniMagicka: a home for the creation of beautiful, durable costume pieces that fit the scale of the human body.

Who are we? Phelan is an experienced maker and designer who uses his skills to build patterns, develop techniques, and create prototypes for AniMagicka. Anji is also an experience maker who does sewing, handwork, and quality control. Anji also manages the shop and shipping. We currently live in North Texas with our family and a gorgeous little malamute husky. In our free time, we enjoy reading, writing, playing music, board games, and making things - all kinds of things! So here we are! We opened AniMagicka for business on Etsy in 2015, have met so many wonderful people, made so many interesting projects, and are looking forward to so much more.

We love costuming and creativity as much as you do! We know how important it is to do what you love and to make it what it needs to be to be *right*. We use the best in supplies, solid technique, and we focus on that perfect intersection of beauty, wearability, and longevity. We're artistics, just like you, and we love working with you to create something magical.
