I love being outside and feel that nothing can compete with the stunning beauty of nature. But we all spend so much time indoors and often without a scenic panoramic view from our windows. So I paint to bring life and beauty to the indoors, where we live so much of our lives. I can't compete with mother nature so instead i create paintings inspired by the trees, skies, plants and animals that have a bit of twist to them. A bit of my imagination you might say.

Typically, one of my paintings may have realistic trees painted against a background of imaginary colorful circles, or a realistic cow painted against a background of an imaginary design.

I have only begun to scratch the surface as i want to include so many more areas of nature into my paintings. Living near the Gulf of Mexico and seeing the beauty that it has to offer i am going to be painting many beach and water/sky scenes. I also love gardening and in the future hope to create paintings of vegetables, fruit and squash and all the life that surrounds them, both real and imagined.

Recently I added a painting of a cow to my Etsy Paintings. You'll likely see more of those in the coming months as I have a huge love for farm animals that are treated so badly, especially in the factory farms. I personally do not eat these precious beings but respect them for their beauty and honesty that all animals seem to share. In years past pet portraits was an area i concentrated on and still intend to do more of these in the coming years as i love animals so much.

I owe my desire to be an artist to my great aunt Caroline who was my first painting and drawing teacher when i was so very young. She inspired me from the age of six to become an artist.
