The Aspen Pottery Collection began in 2006 and includes a range of forms. Large sculptural wall hangings, wall sconces, platters, bowls, mugs and vases are all adorned with hand-carved and hand-painted aspen designs inspired by Colorado's back country. This large steel, granite and ceramic chess set was completed in 2002. It is titled "The Sacred Hoop". -
"The Sacred Hoop" discusses the issues of uranium mining in the Four-Corners region during the Cold War. -
Every ceramic figure was hand-carved and is one-of-a-kind. -
