We are Karen and Stacy Beck and are a mother and daughter team that are both teachers. When we aren't teaching, we love to craft and create unique houses for others to enjoy.
Three years ago Beck's Handcrafted Houses all began as a search for Halloween decor and ended in creating a unique home decoration that is literally just that, a home.
It all was created out of desperate need of decorations for a Halloween party when I found a paper mache house at one of our local craft stores and had an idea to turn it into a haunted house. After adding paint, scrap booking stickers and paper, spider webs, and really anything else I could find around our house I had created my own home decoration that was an absolute hit at our Halloween Party. My mom loved it so much she suggested we began selling them and here we are today as what became Beck's Handcrafted Houses.
Our Etsy shop has now been open for a year and a half and we have loved every minute of it. Our goal in our shop is to create custom miniature houses that may be used in a variety of ways including storage, gift boxes, card boxes, children's playhouses, or just simply decor. Just like we began, we continue to create our decorative houses from the same materials including: pre-made paper mache houses, acrylic paint, scrap booking stickers and paper, and a variety of other materials. We offer all of our houses in small, medium, and large sizes to suit our customers’ needs and we love inventing and crafting new custom requests for our customers as well.
