I've always loved art. Even when I was little, I would spend hours drawing. Just like so many other people, I grew up and life got in the way of my dreams. I started painting with watercolors and mixed media shortly after I retired a few years ago. I kept painting and creating more and more art, until one day my husband asked me what I was going to do with all of my artwork. It was a light bulb moment for me and long story short, that's how I arrived here on Etsy with my shop, The Red Painted Cottage. We really do have a red log cottage where we spend our summers on the lake. I love having a paintbrush in my hands!
