Cassava Leaf Textile Company is the brainchild of the founders' sister/sister-in-law, who, as a masters student at NYU during the recession, dreamt of opening a boutique that would purvey goods from the post-colonial world.

Cassava Leaf offers handmade home accessories and reclaimed, re-upholstered furniture in the African fabrics that remind the curators of "home"-- bazins, tie-dyes and batiks, kente cloth, and wax prints. Cassava Leaf works only with high-quality, original materials, and especially prefers one-of-a-kind items for restoration.

Everything is handmade, in the New York Studio, or in the family atelier in Dakar. Every product is designed and produced with love, respect, and inspiration, just for you.
