Everything from the top cherry, all the way down to placing the label on the bottom of the cupcake is done by hand.
Cuddle Cups are intended to make people smile, so thats why I love how my products are for all ages and all occasions.
Packaging my orders are so fun, and I try to make them special by adding pretties!!
As a raw cupcake in the beginning, they look like cute freshly baked cupcakes and can be used as pin cushions!

Cuddle Cups is Born!!

As a busy mom, I continued to try and have the best birthday parties for my kids like all thriving mothers. When my daughter turned one, the theme of her party was Cupcakes!! It was a popular trend, but unfortunately when I tried to find centerpieces that looked like real cupcakes, I was left with cupcakes that looked cheap or just made for sewing notions.
My ideas kept going through my head of how I could create a fake cupcake that I could place on the tables that would look realistic, but that people could also take home as a keepsake from the party. I used felt because it was pliable, and had that soft look to resemble frosting. After many trial and errors, I ended up with a good assortment of some cupcakes that would really be cute for the party.
I didn't really intend to start a business with my felt cupcakes, but it seemed to be a "calling" for me because Etsy was just booming with handmade items just a few months after this party. I listed some felt cupcakes and then slowly after a couple of years, I started to sell more variations of cupcakes off of customer requests. I really enjoy Cuddle Cups because it is a great creative outlet for me to make things by hand, and use my craft love to make things for you! I get lots of feedback at fairs, and from return customers, so it has been so fun!!
Cuddle Cups has been in the party decoration niche for a while, but has now spread to being useful for sewing pin cushions, pretend play for kids, home decor, and cute kitchen design ideas. It makes me so happy that our product is so special because it can be for all ages and occasions. Plus, they are unique using my own hand cut templates and molds to create the most realistic and useful size & look. I love packaging my orders pretty, and making your purchase as sweet as possible!!
