I started making diaper and towel cakes back when we nearly lost our Mother in late '09. We were blessed that she came home a few days later from the hospital to recover. I wanted to make her smile by giving her a welcome home gift and a Garden Towel Cake seemed to be the right choice. I know how much she loves plants and flowers and I knew it would put that smile on her face I was looking for. While she continued recovering at home, she had the fleece blanket I chose and some herbal teas and cappuccino to comfort her until she could get outside to plant those flowers that I included. It was just a small token and one way of comforting her. Just as I took great pride in making that cake for the one lady who means the world to me, I continue to do that for others with every cake I make because I know there is someone out there you want to show the same compassion and love for by giving them a gift that lets them know they are as special and unique as the gift they are receiving!
