Little bit about me...

I'm a stay at home mom of two amazing children by day and an artist by evenings/weekends. I started my shop in unique and sleepy town surrounded by peaceful wildlife and majestic beauty in the North Carolina Mountains. We currently moved to Florida. I was inspired by the neutral colors and wildlife that nature has to offer in the mountains. From the little lamb just born in a near by meadow or a beautiful Cardinal flying by the sweet smell of fresh bread at the local bakery. My new collection will also include the calm colors and fabrics inspired by the Atlantic ocean.

In my childhood my twin sister and I always made little dolls, bears, and toys for one another to play with from random material we found laying around our house. Working on this collection for my babies makes me reflect back on that loving and creative time we shared together and I'm happy to be able to share it with you.

I love the process of creating something unique with meaning and feeling out of something as simple as a piece of fabric, raw clay, or sheet of paper. The potential of what it can become and how it can inspire others, is what drives my creativity.

About my shop and process..

I started making plush toys when I was pregnant with my daughter. I wanted her to have something unique and special that had love and care put into it, and so the Tati soft and fluffy collection started.

I opened my little shop on Etsy about a year ago. It was wonderful to find a place to meet incredible people from all over the world. Being able to share my little creations with them and in a small and humbling way be a part of their lives..from a baby's first gift to creating a unique and loyal companion.

It all starts with a sketch..usually over a cup of warm tea. The process is organic, I allow each little pattern to create itself into what it wants to become...a little bear with a calm expression or a sleepy little sheep. I'm drawn to neutral/calm colors and soft fabrics. Using only natural and carefully hand selected material by myself I bring my creations to life. I like to imagine the places my toys will travel and hearts they will touch. I pay extra attention to details making each toy unique with its own personality. My critics/muses include my two year old little lady and inquisitive six year old son..who are my best of friends!
