Frequently asked questions

How can I make a custom order?

Check my shop announcements to see whether or not I am open for custom orders. You can reach out to me by either messaging me on Etsy or you can send me a DM on my instagram @dragonsofwhimsy.

Please be prepared to thoroughly explain your vision. The more you can give me, the better.
Colored sketches are great for things that might be difficult to explain or if you have a very particular vision.
Inspiration photos and color swatches are great too, as long as it's not a photo of another artist's work. Please be mindful and respectful of my style and don't ask me to do something in someone else's style.
Be prepared to answer many questions! Be aware that I may take artistic liberties and make minor adjustments to your design as I see fit.

Customs pricing

Pricing is determined on a case by case basis, depending on the level of detail and materials involved.

Please expect to pay anywhere between $85-$130+.

Once you give me the details of your vision, I can give you a direct quote.

I require a 50% deposit to secure your spot and begin working on your custom piece. The remaining 50% can be paid after the piece is finished. I will send you photos upon completion.

Please understand that there may be a line ahead of you and that it may take several weeks for you to receive your completed sculpture.

If for any reason you decide that you don't want your sculpture after I have completed it, I will return your deposit ONLY if I can resell the sculpture.

Care instructions

These sculptures are intended for indoor display only.

While they have been sealed to protect the delicate details, they are not weather proof.

Please avoid getting your sculpture wet. Clean with a light, texture free, airy cloth or feather duster.

Gift wrapping and packaging

I do not gift wrap, but please let me know if this is a gift for someone else, and I can include a gift note.

Please unwrap your package carefully.

What happens if a sculpture arrives broken?

This is a rare circumstance. Polymer clay is a very strong substance and is not likely to break when handled correctly. I take extra precautions and package them very carefully. However, accidents do happen.

Please take photos immediately of the condition of the box and of the sculpture breakage and send it to me as soon as you can. Then I can assess the situation and see how best to handle it. Most likely, it would be a connection break which is a very easy fix and something that you can do yourself with glue. I recommend E6000.

I will handle more extreme breaks on a case by case basis.

I am not responsible for any breakage or damage that occurs once the sculpture is in your hands, but I will do my best to help!
