I've always loved pottery and collected items to enjoy in my home. For more than a decade, I've been throwing my own special pieces and glazing them to match the room I'd be using them in. How wonderful to make my own lamps, soap dispensers, bowls, plates, mugs and more. Each of my children has a special cereal bowl that they've claimed for their own, recipients of my pottery tell stories about fighting over the "good mug" aka the pottery mug I've made. Coffee, tea and hot chocolate stay warm and one mom told me about her teen daughter taking the mug and using it for ice cream. The daughter said she could travel from room to room carrying it by the handle and the mug kept the ice cream from melting. That's what my pottery is all about. It's made to be used and enjoyed. Best of all, it's dishwasher, oven and microwave safe.

The artist made a special effort to wrap the gift appropriately and make sure it arrived in time for the big day. They loved the pitcher! It is very versatile and is a lovely addition to their home's color scheme.
