You name it, I paint it.

Why hello there! I'm Angela, the artist behind Familiar Paper! I'm inspired by work that is colorful, whimsical and makes me smile! Custom art is my passion- it all started when a friend asked me to paint portraits of her family dogs (and a bunny) to hang in her daughter's bedroom for an "official big girl room" update. I fell in love with painting pet portraits first, then realized that not everybody has a pet (what?!) and opened up a listing for basically anything someone could dream up. I love a challenge and creating something within someone's guidelines makes things more interesting for me. I've painted everything from family pets to donkeys, hot air balloons to someone's brother-in-law, shirtless on a horse (???). Give me an idea of what you're looking for and I can make something you'll love.

I have an in-home studio but you'll usually find me at the dining table painting with my son. When I'm not making things you can find me at the zoo with my family or out running. I hope you enjoy looking around, and thanks so much for visiting my shop!
